Franklin Graham has devoted his life to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meeting the needs of suffering people around the world. Franklin serves as president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). His first evangelistic event with the ministry was held in 1989, and since then, he has continued to spread the Good News through hundreds of outreaches around the world.
Most recently, Franklin shared the hope of Christ in eight cities along a historic route in the US that stretches 2,000 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles. Night after night on the tour, hundreds of people responded to the message of God’s love. In 2022, Franklin is looking forward to proclaiming that same, simple Gospel message in Milan, Italy; New Zealand; and the United Kingdom.
Franklin is continuing the lifelong work of his father, Billy Graham, who had a profound appreciation and respect for the UK, and preached here more than any other place in the world outside of the US. Just like his father, Franklin is working with local churches to share with the people of the United Kingdom that God loves them and has a purpose for their lives.
The Lord has placed a burden on Franklin’s heart to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ across the UK, and that sense of purpose and evangelistic passion has continued to grow over the years. Franklin has shared the hope of Christ in Perth, Scotland (1999); Belfast, Northern Ireland (2008); and Blackpool, England (2018).
In addition to serving as president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Franklin also leads the international Christian relief and evangelism organization Samaritan’s Purse, which helps meet the needs of refugees, victims of war and natural disasters, the sick, the poor, and the suffering in more than 100 countries around the world.
Under Franklin’s leadership, six Emergency Field Hospitals were deployed to COVID-19 hotspots during the pandemic, treating more than 950 coronavirus patients in northern Italy, New York City, the Bahamas, North Carolina, southern California, and Mississippi. Samaritan’s Purse is also providing medical care, hygiene kits, blankets and other critical relief supplies to desperate Afghan evacuees who fled the crisis in Afghanistan.
